Battuya Jalbasuren has practiced law for 24 years. She is a member of the Mongolian Bar Association and the Advocates’ Association. She is a licensed attorney and can represent clients at all levels of courts in Mongolia and in arbitration proceedings.
She graduated from the National University of Mongolia Law School and the University of New England, Australia. She earned a Masters’ of Law Degree from the UNE. Battuya also completed the School of Foreign Relations of the National University of Mongolia majoring in Linguistics and British studies.
She worked at Oyu Tolgoi LLC, a corporation owned by the Mongolian Government and Rio Tinto – the world’s largest mining corporation for many years, including 10 years when she worked as the Senior Manager, Legal.
Battuya previously worked at the Constitutional Court of Mongolia, UNICEF, and the National Center for Legal and Judicial Training.
Battuya speaks Mongolian, English, and Russian.
